No one has ever thrown me a surprise party, so when we arrived at Infinite Villa I wasn’t expecting any of what happened.
This luxury estate is located in northern Ibiza, next to Portinatx, with the coast barely 100 metres away and just a few steps from one of my favourite coves, Cala Xuclar. Here there’s a little beach bar that my husband, kids, and I usually go to whenever we’re on the island. I knew about this villa through some fashion magazines because with its 30 spectacular hectares of forest, it’s pretty common that the villa is the setting for numerous productions and the star of many feature stories. The house is a work of art by the famous architect Rolf Blakstad; it has direct access to the sea, a beautiful swimming pool, several gardens, and it is surrounded by a pine tree grove belonging to the property. It’s paradise here, and it doesn’t surprise me at all that it’s considered one of the best villas in the world.
Privacy is guaranteed, and so is magic. For this reason, I can’t stop thanking my husband and friends for coming up with this place to throw me a surprise party for my 40th birthday.
I originally thought we were going to Infinite Villa as guests to celebrate an event, but once we arrived I kept seeing familiar faces smiling at me. Then the garden lights started turning on, the palm trees and the patio fountains lit up, and a great big cake appeared before my eyes.
The celebration was absolutely wonderful, and even in the wee hours of the morning when the guests were saying goodbye the party still hadn’t ended. The best was yet to come. My husband had rented the villa for several more days, and our dearest friends, those who helped immensely with planning the party, stayed with us. In terms of space, there was no problem. The house, with whitewashed walls and a very chic and rustic look, has 6 bedrooms, in which we comfortably fit 10 adults and my 2 children. I loved the artistic taste of the decorations and details inside the house. For example, the headboard of the bed, the finishing touches on the fireplaces, or the lovely presentation of the landscaped areas to provide clear views of the most incredible sunsets. Even the air you breathe here is different, maybe because of the fruit trees, the pine grove, or the sea breeze surrounding the villa.
After the fantastic evening that welcomed us, the house’s staff got us settled in and even looked after the little ones when we would go out and enjoy Ibiza’s nightlife. That said, no party even comes close to the one we celebrated here at Infinite Villa. The location being one of Ibiza’s calmest and most exclusive areas, the views of the sea and mountains treating all of your senses, and the premium amenities make this villa truly unique to the world.
